American Ideal’s NY Dominance Continues

August 03, 2020

Brittany Stallion Management’s American Ideal is the “Undisputed King of New York Pacing Sires,” and he showed his dominance yet again when his 2-year-olds nearly swept the New York Sire Stakes card last Saturday at Tioga Downs.

His freshman pacers won both divisions of the $105,300 NYSS 2-Year-Old Colt Pace, with his undefeated freshman sensation American Courage p,2,1:51.3f ($119,908) taking his fifth straight score and I’ll Drink To That p,2,1:53.2f taking his initial sire stakes win.

His colts also won all four of the Excelsior “A” divisions (Isaac, Trevor’s Ace, Natameri and Victory Move) and for good measure one of the two “B” divisions (Special Tyler).

American Ideal has been the leading money-winning pacing sire in the New York Sire Stakes for the last four years in a row, and already this year he leads the program with more than $350,000 in NYSS earnings.

Not only that, in 2019 he ranked as the leading money-winning sire among all active pacing stallions in the U.S., with $16.1-million.

Leading his parade of big money-winners from last year is Breeders Crown Open Pace Champion American History p,3,1:47 ($1,122,087). He’s back to add to his laurels, as he just won the Open Pace on the Hambletonian elim undercard at the Meadowlands in 1:47.1—the second-fastest mile of the season to date.

When it comes time to shop for pacing yearlings this fall, those by American Ideal offer added value—proven success in the lucrative New York Sire Stakes... and the potential for open stakes stardom. Look for them at Lexington and Harrisburg!
