Brittany bred, raised and sold Blue Diamond Eyes set her gaze upon a season’s record Sunday and pulled off the feat! She blazed to victory in the $40,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship Series 3YO Filly Pace in 1:47.2 — the fastest mile of the year for a sophomore pacer, regardless of sex. (

She did all the work in the record mile, moving to the front past a :26.1 opening quarter and sailing past fractions of :53.2 and 1:20.4 before winning by seven lengths, with a last quarter of :26.3.
The filly by Captaintreacherous-Aria Hanover, owned by Tom and Scott Dillon and trained by Ron Burke, is dual eligible — like all of Brittany’s yearlings are this year — and she’s made the most of it. Last year she won both the $253,000 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Championship and the $250,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship.
She also won last term’s $323,600 Three Diamonds in late November and this year has tacked on wins in the Adioo Volo and PASS, along with her recent KYSS score. It’s no surprise her earnings now stand at a lofty $865,000 — making her a fine candidate to soon join the farm’s
Millionaires Row.
She came straight from the Brittany shedrow at the 2019 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale and was hammered down in the auction ring for $180,000... an investment that continues to pay dividends.
On opening night (Oct. 5) at this year’s Lexington sale, Brittany will offer Hip No. 20 Seashell, the Captaintreacherous full sister to Blue Diamond Eyes. Check her
updated pedigree, watch her
virtual inspection video, then plan to see her at the farm or at the sale.
