Brittany-Bred Fallout Wins Metro Elim

September 16, 2024

Fallout p,2,1:49.3, by Captaintreacherous-Aria Hanover, proved better than his 7-1 odds as he took a career best 1:49.3  win in his elim for Next Saturday's $1,000,000 Metro Pace Final at Woodbine Mohawk (Watch Race).

The freshman colt was bred by Brittany Farms, and this October at Lexington Selected Brittany will sell Hip 34 Stingman (PEDIGREE | VIDEO), a first-crop colt by Perfect Sting who's the first foal from stakes winner Captiva — the full sister to Fallout, millionaire Blue Diamond Eyes, and $400k winner Captain Kirk.

Fallout was last year's top-selling yearling colt by Captaintreacherous, fetching a robust $250,000 in Lexington. He is owned by Robert Leblanc, Pryde Stables and Caviart Farms and trained by Tony Alagna.

The Metro elim was Fallout's second stakes score, as he also won a leg of the Kindergarten Series at the Meadowlands, the host of this year's Breeders Crown.

On the same card at Mohawk, the year's no. 1-ranked Standardbred, Twin B Joe Fresh p,4,1:47.3 ($1,936,015) — also bred by Brittany Farms — won the $250,000 Milton Final to run her seasonal record to eight wins in nine starts and her career earnings to almost $2-million. She is a feature of Brittany's Millionaires Row.

Twin B Joe Fresh was sold in utero at the Harrisburg Mixed Sale when her dam, Fresh Breeze, was sold by Brittany to current owner Twinbrook Farms.

Brittany wishes continued good fortune to the connections of both horses and we hope to see them — and all of you — in Lexington in two weeks for the Red Mile's major stakes and the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
