The Brittany Farms 2019 yearling roster is now available here on the website’s
Sales page. The sortable roster includes “live” TrackIt pedigrees for each horse. Videos will be added in early fall.
The majority of the farm’s yearling crop will be sold again this year at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, to be held Tuesday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion on Newtown Pike in Lexington, KY.
This year’s consignment—from a farm that has already produced 38 millionaire racehorses and countless champions of both gaits—is made up of a nearly equal number of trotters and pacers.
On the trotting side of the ledger, there are a pair of must-see Muscle Hills: the full brother to champion 2-year-old and Hambletonian Oaks-winning 3-year-old Manchego and a half-sister to recent PA All Stars winner Word Of Honor 2,1:57.1f-’19 and multiple stakes winner Special Honor.
For pacing shoppers there are eight yearlings by the sport’s leading money-winning sire of 2 & 3YOs, Captaintreacherous. Those include a half-sister to Meadowlands Pace elim winner Bettor’s Wish p,3,1:49.1 ($664,556), a filly from the 2 & 3YO World Champion American Jewel and a half-brother to O’Brien Award winner Bettor’s Up.
Brittany’s new location southeast of Versailles, KY has already confirmed our original belief, that this farmland is special when it comes to growing racehorses that are both powerful and athletic.
When you inspect this year’s yearling crop, we’re sure that you’ll agree!
