More than $2.6-million in purses was on the line on the star-powered Meadowlands Pace card last Saturday night, and horses bred, raised and sold as yearlings by Brittany Farms stepped up to win their share.
Manchego 4,1:49 ($2,217,705), undefeated Dan Patch Champion at 2, Hambletonian Oaks winner at 3 and double World Champion at 4, started the night by taking her fourth win of her 5-year-old season by dominating an overmatched field in the Miss Versatility Trot. (

The daughter of Muscle Hill-Secret Magic powered to the front past the quarter, was never threatened, and cruised to a facile 1:51 score for owner Black Horse Racing and trainer Nancy Takter.
Four races later,
Reflect With Me p,3,1:49 ($575,122) won the $194,400 Mistletoe Shalee for sophomore filly pacers. In so doing, she proved that her victory in last year’s $600,000 Breeders Crown was no fluke, as she again defeated 2-year-old Dan Patch champion Lyons Sentinel in this Meadowlands Pace filly companion.
