Now Arriving: Millionaire No. 41!

May 04, 2021

Stakes and classics winner Bettor’s Up, bred, raised and sold as a yearling by Brittany Farms, made her way from the Hoosier Park winner’s circle last Saturday night straight to the Brittany Farms “Millionaires Row.”

The daughter of Bettor’s Delight-Fresh Idea, owned by Jason Zehr’s Platinum Stables and trained and driven by LeWayne Miller, has now earned $1,001,642 after her win in the Filly & Mare Open II Pace, and becomes the 41st million dollar-plus winner bred by the farm, or the farm and partners.

Forty-one seven-figure earners produced from a moderately-sized broodmare band is not only an eye-opening figure; it makes Brittany far and away the sport’s leading breeder in percentage of millionaires from foals bred.

Bettor’s Up p,2,1:51f; 3,1:49.4 was sold as a Brittany yearling at the 2015 Lexington Selected Sale. She won multiple stakes as a 2-year-old and at 3 pulled the upset winning Canada’s premier event for sophomore filly pacers – the $440,000 Fan Hanover Stakes. At the conclusion of that season she was voted the O’Brien Award for “3-Year-Old Pacing Filly of the Year.”

Plans call for the mare to be bred at the conclusion of her racing career, and with her pedigree and race resumé, she has every ingredient for success in that realm. Her dam Fresh Idea has produced $300,000 winner Sayulita and 1:50 pacer Sea Of Life. Her last three yearlings have sold in Lexington for $175,000 - $150,000 - $70,000.

Brittany wishes her connections continued success moving forward!
