We are saddened at the passing of World Champion racehorse and sire American Ideal, who died in January of this year after 17 years of stallion duty. He stood at Blue Chip Farms in New York and as a shuttle stallion in Australia and New Zealand. His progeny have earned more than $183-million worldwide and include 18 million dollar-plus winners. He was the all-time leading money-winning pacing sire in the New York Sire Stakes program.

The New York Sire Stakes program has changed eligibility requirements beginning with the 2024 breeding season, and for the state’s leading money-winning pacing sire American Ideal, it opens up a world of opportunity.
American Ideal added two more New York Sire Stakes Champions to his lengthy list, as his sons American Fling and Pleaseletmeknow created a sweep of the $200,000 NYSS colt pace finals at Tioga Downs for their World Champion sire.
American Ideal’s 3-year-old son Pleaseletmeknow p,3,1:51.3h raised his career earnings to more than $360,000 with a powerful victory in the first leg of pacing’s Triple Crown — the $261,730 Messenger Stakes at Yonkers Raceway.
